I bought these lights along with several others for a Christmas present for my parents. To say the least they work great and are well built.

The lights are made out of solid aluminum construction with a glass lens. Unlike the cheap plastic models these can take quite a bit of abuse with few problems except a few scratches. The light bulb is easy to change and lasts for months. All you do is rotate the hood a quarter turn and change the bulb. Make sure to use a tissue or something of that sort to put in the new light bulb. The oils from your hand and the high heat from the halogen bulbs will make it burn out much faster.

The connections are simple but effective. To metal barbs are forced into the low voltage wiring when you push the two ends of the connectors together. The connection is solid and can be undone easily to remove a light, move it down a few feet, or replacing the light with a new one when the time arises.

I've had these for several years. Love the lighting, however I have had to replace these time after time as they last for a very short period of time. The connectors stink and often break as you are trying to reconnect them after they lose their connection with the lead wire. Reconnecting rarely works anyway. Best solution is simply to buy a new one.

We have a Malibu system around our home and lights are constantly breaking etc... It is our fault....kids just destroy things. :-) - I keep having to buy one or two every year..and usually find them at my big name hardware store.. However, this year I decided I would search them out on Amazon and see if the pricing was better and if they were available...sure enough they were about $4 less then what I buy them for locally and free shipping/no sales tax made this an instant purchase.

These lights have the QUICK FIT adapters that basically allow you to place them close to your wire run and snap them in very quickly. That is my favorite feature.

The 20watt bulb is nice and bright...but not overbearing for your landscape.

In October 2009 I ordered a 300-watt power pack, nine 11-watt landscape lights, and five 20-watt floodlights. I set them up in my newly landscaped backyard and they looked great! But to my dismay within six months the floodlights stopped working. The tiered landscape lights are fine.
I've since tried to solve the problem by calling the customer service line listed in the packaging. But their phone message instructs me to call Malibu, which bought the product line. I called Malibu, but they said they're not responsible to the old product and told me to call Intermatic. I've been on hold for 15 minutes with their customer service line as I write this review.

VERY, VERY EASY TO INSTALL ... AND THE LIGHTS ARE VERY BRIGHT. I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED.

This was my second purchase of these lights. They work great...easy to install. I highly recommend purchasing them. They add the finishing touch to any landscaping project.

I would recommend spending a little more and getting a higher quality low-voltage floodlight. I have already replaced one of the two I purchased.

This is a nice landscape light for the money. It even includes a bulb! This light is comparable to the lights available at Home Depot but this one is less expensive. I will buy more of these lights from Amazon.
