Making home automation simple,

I had an X-10 automation system put in my kitchen remodeling project and it died about three years later. X-10 is subject to a great deal of interference and is a technology no longer worth investing in since there's Z-Wave. My Z-Wave system has worked flawlessly and with modules like these it's easy to add automation all around the house.

I have a lot of z-wave devices or modules. I love the system. Works great and the range is very good. I have a large house and I am able to control all of the modules completely without having range issues. The more modules you install the better the overall performance and range because the signal is "repeated" through other units until it "finds" the one you are sending a signal to. This is z-waves big advantage. I have both the appliance modules and the dimmable lamp modules. The appliance modules work great for florescent lamps or lights and the dimmable work great with theater lighting from incandescent bulbs. I use the appliance modules to control my Christmas Tree lights, Halloween decorations and LED pumpkin lights and also LED 120 Volt candles on my mantle. ALSO..... remember when you relocate the module to "remove" it from the network and "reintroduce" it back into the network for proper performance. If you do not and you move the module you will most likely experience problems. I love the z-wave system!

Works perfectly with Harmony 890,

I've got this thing controlling an IKEA 10W light kit that can't be dimmed. Works perfectly via my Harmony 890. All you do is use the Harmony software and add the device, it will prompt you to unplug the remote and pair it with the Intermatic by holding down the button on top of the unit. The device shows up in "Activities" under "RF Control". It responds almost instantly after sending it a command.ZWave is awesome. I later purchased the wall switch version of this to control a switched outlet. Instructions on these things are not detailed enough but I was able to figure it out. It didn't come with instructions on how to pair it, I had to rely on the Harmony for that.

One might expect, as I did, this device to operate as a switch, meaning that on means on and off means off, right? Not the case here. This device in the off position still manages to let through minimal amounts of voltage which with some electronic devices is just enough to flash the LED's and make them beep, or sound off as if they were about to turn on.

I have the complete system, these have a slight delay turning on. Sometimes I have to hold the controller down for 5=8 sec. and their only 10 feet away in the same room?

great product, somewhat bulky, ha the power inlet on the side not in front making it accupy less space (depth) behind your appliance.I have three of these devices. I can easily turn all my appliances on and of with this Zwave conroller in conjunction with my Logitech Z-wave enabled remote control

The HA02C does what it's supposed to - when it receives a z-wave signal from a controler, it makes a click, and turns on the the appliance at the other end.I'm using these to control CF bulb lamps - and these work like a champ in that respect. I haven't noticed any flicker due to voltage leakage in the off state - although I doubt that there is any (I haven't measured it.) Unfortunately, there is only one one AC plug on it, and it's fairly large. Other than that, it works as advertised.

This module has excellent response time. I now have more than 10 of these around the house, mostly to control lamps that have a CFL (Compact Fluorescent) light bulb. I had heard that Intermatic was getting out of the Z-Wave business - I hope not because these are great modules!

I am new to Z-wave and have a micasaverde.com Vera controller. I bought this one based entirely on price. It paired fine right away with the controller and has worked great since. The only thing that could be better is to make it smaller and fit into sockets easier. If the socket was on the front it would also allow "wall tumors" to plug in easier. Go ahead and get this one and you won't be disappointed. I wasn't when I bought a second one. It also paired and worked as well as the first. |
