I bought this timer for my holiday lights, so I wouldn't have to worry about remembering to turn them on/off. It turns on at dusk and has several choices of when it will turn off, which is nice. My only complaint would be that when it turns on, the lights blink on and off for about 10-15 minutes before they finally stay on. I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen or if I got a dud, but it is a little annoying. I wouldn't use this timer for security lights because of the blinking when it first comes on. If you're buying it just for holiday lights, it does a pretty good job.

I have had this product for about 4 years- way better than the digital. This analog unit does not reset its self when the power goes out. And so far no problems- my digital ones have lasted only a couple years.

I like this timer because with the varing sun setting, I don't have to change a manual timer. I use it indoors to highlight plants and a skylight. It works great. I just set it and it does all the rest.

I have a friend who has this timer, and they told me i must come check it out before i buy any timer . It was the smartist thing i have ever purchased it does exactly what i need it to and more, it is a real pleasure to have . thank you ,Wayne b Burton
