This Intermatic heavy duty in-wall timer with astronomic features has multiple uses to meet all your needs. You can set it one time and not need to set it again. It follows daily changes in the sunrise/sunset times. It can be used for single pole and three-way applications up to 100 Feet away. It controls lighting which includes fluorescent and heavy duty loads such as fans and appliances. It has up to 6 On/Off settings per 7-day period for a total of 42 settings per week. It has an easy to set 6 button program. Also included is an LCD digital clock and readout, battery backup and manual override feature.

I purchased two of these for two sets of coach lights on the front of our home and our garage. I wanted to have those lights on for a designated time in the evening. These timers easily replaced the standard switches and allow for easy manual switching to turn the lights on or off. However, the beauty is that now our exterior lights come on at dusk and are off at midnight, per my settings. And, the units calculate dusk based upon your time zone, so that time changes appropriately with the calendar! You can even have it adjust automatically for daylight savings time!

I have had the manual in-wall timer from Intermatic and replaced it at least twice. It had to be re-set at every power outage, every daylight savings time change and tweaked throughout the year as the days get shorter. I was disappointed not to find the one I had been using, as I was familiar with it. Was I ever glad to find this new one! I easily installed it, set it (pretty easily considering bi-focals, small print and several lanquages on the insert), but I'm delighted that I haven't had to touch it since. It reliably comes on at dusk and off at dawn. No re-setting required!

Programing easy enough, but some what time consuming, if you desire varied on - off times.
