(Mostly) Well made, easy to install, and allows both outlets to have cords coming out with cover closed and locked.

The one downside is the insert used to connect the box to the outlet is made of plastic which, although a decent plastic, is still plastic and easy to break. I guess to have these inserts metal would probably double the price but I would have preferred that option.

In less than 24 hours, this "security cover" was torn loose from the outlet because the base is made out of plastic. A simple slam with a hammer or a rock will break it off. If they are going to sell a cover with a metal cover, add a metal base to support it. DUH!

Overall, this cover is well made. However, there are a couple drawbacks that prevented it from being 5-stars. First, the locking loop is too small for the diameter of the shackles on most common locks. This means that one will have to get a smaller (and probably lesser quality) lock to put through the locking loop. Sadly, the loop is all of 1/8" too small...if it were just a tiny bit larger, it would work great. Second, the back of the box is open. In order to mount it, you have to use the included plastic backing plate, which is held in place by two very shallow bumps. I haven't tried it, but I would suspect a good bump or kick (depending on how low to the ground the box is mounted) will take the cover right off. For the money, I also bought the red dot Code Keeper CKMUV cover for comparison (we are installing 100 of them). It has a locking latch large enough for standard shackles (though barely...) and it has a full metal back with sufficient screw holes to securely mount it in place. While the Intermatic model is good for most applications, for the same price I recommend the red dot cover.
