5.0 out of 5 stars Intermediate Accounting
Although this book was used, it is in fantastic shape, it appears to be brand new. I needed this textbook for school as they use e-books and those are so hard to understand

3.0 out of 5 stars Authoritative but not an easy read
This is an authoritative text (it's on the recommended reading list for the CMA, for example). Unfortunately, the style of writing is not the clearest. Although I'm a straight-A student of accounting, I had to re-read way too many sentences.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not easily understandable, June 9, 1999
By A Customer
The author should have made this text more student friendly. It was very confusing at times. This book is not worth its cost!

2.0 out of 5 stars Return this book after course is completed, March 21, 2004

This book was over done ? this book will confuse an accounting student. In fact, they recommend that you purchase a study guide to go along with this book (what does that tell you!!!). Along with a poor accounting lecture you are doomed to barely pass an accounting class with this book. The write up and description of general concepts ? extends to some far out, drawn out, and exacerbated lecture that may have been written by satanic worshipers or something like that. I bought the study guide to go along with this book after I did so poorly on my first exam and now I know why a few did well on their exam?s ? because they bought the study guide!!! The study guide should be used as the main study concept and leave this heavy weighted book on the shelf?

1.0 out of 5 stars Dissatisfied, May 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
When I ordered this textbook I was looking for a hard copy of an ebook for my Intermediate Accounting class. I was satisfied with the price so I ordered it. Well, it arrived today. My first complaint is that I emailed the seller on Friday 4/29 for shipment status and never received a response; very poor customer service. My second complaint is that the textbook I received clearly states on the front and back cover that "Instructor's Edition This is your personal copy for use in textbook evaluation. Sale or resale is prohibited and will contribute to higher student textbook costs". Disclosure was not made that I was purchasing an illegal textbook.

I have serious concerns about the legality of owning this book and its authenticity to the student version. I sent an email to the seller; hoping to receive a response this time. I do not recommend purchasing anything from mythopoeic_books.

1.0 out of 5 stars CONVILUTED., February 5, 2011
I have over 180 credit hours of higher education and this is THE MOST unorganized, wordy, conviluted textbook I have ever read. It could make its points in far less page space and with far clearer examples than are given. The authors spend their time trying to show you how intelligent they are rather than efficiently delivering what you need to know.

Even though this is an intermediate accounting book, compared to my previous principles of Accounting book, i found this book is excellent! It explains in detail and shows you lots of examples.

English is not my mother language but seriously, i really this the book is easy to read and to understand!

Highly recommend!

Excellent service! I got this book in 3 days from the day I ordered...way before class started and it was in LIKE NEW condition. It might as well be new since the condition is remarkable. A great buy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible, January 30, 2011
I'm an accounting student. Frequently I found myself googling the content I was required to learn because the books description was so mediocre. The questions after the ends of the chapters don't align well with the content provided in the chapter. Accounts are not described well. Is X account and liability, an asset, or equity? The book does not assist with this problem well. The book is written in the most dry and dull manner possible. Its far too technical; and even a great reader will find themselves rereading passages for a second and third time.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Accounting Book, October 26, 2010
Honestly, one of the worst Accounting books out there. Its a difficult class and the book doesn't help.
