Good book, everything is explained in detail. Even without a teacher, the students may well use the book and improve their mathematics skills.

The book was exactly what was in description. I am satisfied with my purchase and will suggest it to every one.

the math book was in great condition and received it within a week and a half. I will not hesitate to order any of my books from amazon.

I needed a text book for college and I am trying to save as much money as possible and I have heard of people buying their books off amazon before, so I found a great deal on this book for a used price. Description said it was in good condition for a used book, so I expected a little worn corners or something, upon receiving the book I was greatly surprised to find the book to be like new! thanks amazon!

This book arrived in a timely fashion, in fact, about 3 days before the expected date of July 11. It was in excellent condition for a second hand book. Directions for solutions seem easy to follow; directions for how to solve a problem are written in red; algebra problems are related to the real world. The course begins in Aug 17, and I think I shall enjoy the course and do well because of this text book. Mathematics is too important not to have a grasp of the subject. And most important, Algebra is not all that complicated: follow the directions, pay attention to the signs, add, subtract, multiply, divide correctly and in the correct sequence and before you know it your solving quadratic equations using the quadratic formula blindfolded.

Seriously, I took an Astro-Physics course which asked the student to determine the density at the center of the sun and the change of density moving towards the outer edge of the sun, using the Trapezoidal Rule, and how this change of density affects Temperature, Luminosity, Mass, Energy. (While this has been done a zillion times, not by me, so it was a new and exciting adventure.) Nothing to it, piece of cake. The Calculus Trpezoidal Rule which looked so intricate soon devolved into addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. Like I say, a piece of cake. So too, the Quadratic Formuila, in the end devolves to fifth grade math. Just pay attention. Without knowing Algebra beyond what I had learned in 9th grade High School, I was smart enouth to have some understanding of the Trapezoidal Rule; now with studying Algebra, I hope to have a better grasp of solving word problems, etc. A good time will be had by all in Algebra class. Look forward to studying Calculus in a couple of semesters.

The text book received was fine, however, there should also have been an access code (or card) provided with this sale in order for my son to access his teacher's assignments on-line. The access code/card is provided when the book is purchased in the bookstore, therefore, it should have been provided with the Amazon sale.
