5.0 out of 5 stars Trust this seller
So I ended up ordering the wrong book but these people were so hassle free about it and refunded my card as soon as they received the book back.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too much Schtick
Just when you were pondering "hmmmmm....math books aren't funny enough," Robert Blitzer saved the day. Blitzer even condensed the long examples. Solving problems. 2x(3-4)= 26x(gasp!)

Wonderful book, not annoying in the least bit. I've always said, math is just so cold and calculated, it needs a clown! Thank you, Robert Blitzer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes Algebra Fun...Within Reason, June 12, 2010

This review is from: Intermediate Algebra for College Students (5th Edition) (Hardcover)
"As long as there is algebra, there will be prayer in schools." This being said, Blitzer's texts are great. Appreciated by students and instructors alike for their comprehensive and clear explanations of algebraic principles. Contemporary real life examples lend interest to sections. Study tip boxes, explanatory voice balloons, checkpoint examples, exercise sets and end of chapter review guides make success at algebra almost painless for anyone who is willing to do the work. My only suggestion...make chapter summaries downloadable or available on the enclosed cd.

This textbook is essential for a student that requires a review of the algebraic methods to solve algebra problems. I highly recommend this textbook based on the large number of problems offered for each chapter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Blitzer's Intermediate Algebra, July 30, 2000
By A Customer
Blitzers' step by step is very helpful but does not always use the best path to the solution. He could use more examples of different types of the same problem, ie. What occurs when using negetives on this problem? Great book, but with anything, could be better.
