Get the solutions manual,

This review is from: Intermediate Algebra: Graphs and Models (Hardcover)
This book does not have many examples to learn from and what they do have do not make it clear on how to procede with working out the equation. I strongly suggest that you buy the solutions manual for this book if you are able to locate it.

Easy way to learn,
By A Customer
This review is from: Intermediate Algebra: Graphs and Models (Hardcover)
I'm using this book for review and like it very much. The presentation is simple and thorough, the examples are clear, and there are plenty of problems to solve (with solutions for odd-numbered problems). It incorporates using a graphing calculator into the instruction, and some problems ask you to use the graphing calculator to solve them.I like the graphing and modeling approach to learning. Somehow it helps provide perspective to see the solutions numerically and/or graphically. I'd recommend this book over many of the others I've seen/used.

This is a fairly decent algebra book. It gives some good examples. I would say you wouldn't be disappointed.

Worst Math Book I've Encountarded,
By Jennifer "Jennifer" (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Intermediate Algebra: Graphs & Models (2nd Edition) (Hardcover)
This book is not user friendly and does not provide many solid examples. Some of the problems that they give in the section work are not solveable from the examples provided.
Out of all the math books I've had in my life, this has been the worst one I've had. Unless you have a top notch math instructor to explain this book, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. |
