Immensely helpful.
I took beginning algebra last semester and purchased the student solution manual then and it was a great help when I didnt understand a problem and could not get it to come out right then I would look it up and see where I had made my mistake. Not so good..
This book is not well written; half of the problems do not have examples to back them up. Although the examples make ablut 80% of the material easy to understand, it makes it unworthy of using for a class for that reason alone. I have had many math books and I must say that they were many times better. And as a sidebar, the book cover is cheap and wont last long. If you...

This book is not well written; half of the problems do not have examples to back them up. Although the examples make ablut 80% of the material easy to understand, it makes it unworthy of using for a class for that reason alone. I have had many math books and I must say that they were many times better. And as a sidebar, the book cover is cheap and wont last long. If you are planning on using this book for your class, don't, and purchase a book with more editions. I guess this one is still too new.
