Book arrived early in great condition. Book contains answers to selected algebra exercises in the back for your review, but do not expect all of the answers to be correct. Answers could have benefited from better editing by the publisher. Some of the suggested terminology may be of questionable value too. This book is not worth the excessive cost. If required by your professor, please complain loudly. Algebra has not changed over the decades. So, your professor could have recommended any old textbook on the same subject, costing $30 or less. Better yet, the math department should have developed and/or recommended online course content for free consumption on such an age old subject matter.

This is a good book to study with and the extra videos are also helpful. They make it easy to understand the concepts.

Don't be mislead like I was!! The book shown for these listings is the solutions manual for the 2nd edition, which is what I wanted. I recieved the book in great time, but it is for the old and 1st edition, which doesn't help me at all. Total waste of time and money.

I thought I could save a little money on this book ordering through Amazon instead of buying at my schools bookstore, which I did about $30.
However, the MathLab that it clearly says in included with this book, is NOT. The MathLab alone is $70 at my school bookstore, and it is included with the textbook, which is shrink-wrapped. So really I saved nothing. I'm spending more. The book I received was not wrapped even though it claimed to be "new". I'm guessing the MathLab was removed.

Normally, Amazon has been great for buying textbooks.

This time it was not worth it, and I feel cheated.

This order was excellent. However,

my nephew ordered sunglasses off Amazon. A third party supplier charged him $15,000 for one pair of sunglasses. Amazon refused to do anything about the theft because it was third party. He is out $15,000.

This is my last order on Amazon. I will stick with ebay and paypal where any attempts like this are covered by ebay and paypal.

I ordered this intermediate algebra book only to receive the instructors edition with a piece of tape covering that information. It's really aggravating trying to do the homework when the answer is staring me in the face.

This book will work for the corresponding college math class and it is much cheaper than buying it used through the school bookstore.
