5.0 out of 5 stars An Affair To Remember, October 9, 2006

This review is from: The Intern Affair: The Elliotts (Silhouette Desire No. 1747) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the 9th book in The Elliotts. I love the way the authors come together and inform the reader of some of the things that happened to the characters in the previous books. It keeps "the family thing" real.

Roxanne St. Claire has definitely made this book an affair to remember. Cade McMann is fascinated with Jessie Clayton from the very beginning. He cannot get her out of his mind and that is before he really knew who she was. However, the feeling is mutual because Jessie also cannot stop thinking about Cade, her top boss' right hand man.

Jessie and Cade develop a relationship that gets off to a rocky start because Cade is bent on finding out what Jessie is hiding and Jessie is determined not to let Cade know why she is hiding something. Therefore, mistrust develops as well as strong feelings for each other. Cade is a strict businessman and wants to do the best for his boss, Finola Elliott. Cade feels Jessie is trying to harm Fin in someway by spying for one of the other top business people, who are also part of the Elliott clan and are in stiff competition for winning the CEO of the entire Elliott Publishing Company.

As the story develops, Jessie not only yearns for her Montana ranch, her horse Oscar and her father who she left behind, but also yearns for Cade who after one emotional weekend feels like he may have made a mistake with Jessie. Now Jessie must take a ride of her life, but this time it is not on a horse, but she must ride out the tide of mistrust and the look of betrayal in Cade's eyes, the man that she loves with all her heart. Will Jessie half-truths lead to the end of an affair worth remembering? You must read the book to find out how it really ends.

Also, the other Elliotts books are worth reading and I look forward to completing the serial of The Elliots. Another great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars The city never sleeps -- and neither will the reader, September 28, 2006
This review is from: The Intern Affair: The Elliotts (Silhouette Desire No. 1747) (Mass Market Paperback)
Cade's not breaking any official company rules when he decides to seduce the summer intern to find out what she's hiding, but that doesn't make things any easier. Jessie has a secret--it's just not the one he thinks he's going to discover. As always, Roxanne St Claire keeps the reader hooked to the page with heat, passion and enough twists to leave the reader with only one regret--that the 'can't put it down' read isn't twice as long. Whether or not you know the Elliotts, this is a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's no mistake when the boss falls for an intern, September 28, 2006
This review is from: The Intern Affair: The Elliotts (Silhouette Desire No. 1747) (Mass Market Paperback)
Cade McMann is a man who doesn't make mistakes and neither does author Roxanne St. Claire in her latest contribution to the Dynasty series about the powerful Elliott family. A year-long competition may have racheted up the tension within the Elliott clan, but the fight for control of the family's grip on the publishing industry is nothing compared to the sparks that fly between Charisma Magazine's executive editor Cade and its sharpest intern Jessie, a girl who hides an Elliott family secret - and her beauty - behind hideous, horn-rimmed glasses. The glasses, and the clothes, come off, but Jessie manages to keep her secrets hidden...until she teeters on the edge of losing everything - her family, her career and, most of all, the man she has fallen in love with. Ms. St. Claire delivers more than a spicy read in this intriguing story that will have the reader filling the house with lilac-scented candles.

If you are looking for a fun reading - soap opera type (very different than her Bullet Catchers), this is it. The book is part of the Elliotts set (12) and one of the best.

This review is from: The Intern Affair: The Elliotts (Silhouette Desire No. 1747) (Mass Market Paperback)
From back cover: Businessman Cade McMann had put the lovely Jessie Clayton on his radar since the day she started interning at his magazine. Though his reasons for keeping a close eye on her had not always been professional, the sauve, successful bachelor knew she was hiding something. Mindful that Jessie's hidden agenda might just prove to be the undoing of the Elliot publishing empire, Cade set out to uncover every one of her secrets. And seduction seemed the best way to begin....

I loved this book! Both the h/h are very likeable characters. I enjoyed the setting of the story. This is my favorite of 'The Elliot' series. I love Miss St. Claire's books and this one did not disappoint. Very sexy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great book from Roxanne St.Claire, October 2, 2006
This review is from: The Intern Affair: The Elliotts (Silhouette Desire No. 1747) (Mass Market Paperback)
Trust becomes an issue between the dynamic business man, CAde McMann and Jessie Clayton. Hidden agendas and emotional issues from the past cause their romance to twist and turn, which is what Ms. St.Claire does so well.
Don't miss this latest installment of the life of the Elliotts. An engaging story with great characters.
