1.0 out of 5 stars International Jewish Cook book October 18, 2011
Verified Purchase
This book does have numerous traditional Jewish recipes. However, there is no table of contents and it is extremely difficult to find recipes of a given type of food. This terrible deficiency makes it almost useless. I have already deleted from my Kindle.

1.0 out of 5 stars useless, with no index and no order of recipes November 1, 2012
Verified Purchase
There is no way of finding a given recipe, since the index has no numbers, and the revipes are in only an occasional order. FI, I saw an interesting cookie recipe in the listing in the back, but could not find more than two cookie recipes in a row, so there was no actual "chapter", and I found a beef stew recipe in between a cake and a cookie recipe! Definitely many traditional recipes, but no way to find them.

1.0 out of 5 stars misleading October 27, 2013
Verified Purchase
I am sure many of these recipes are great...but a good many most certainly are NOT kosher. they use parts of the animal that has never been allowed kosher by any stretch of the term.
I would only get this if you read the trial and already do not observe kosher, as trying to get around the non-kosher and just find the kosher items is nearly impossible.

I've said it before about every cookbook and I'll say it again. In every cookbook you can always find a couple of gems.

If you like Jewish cooking and the old recipes of your childhood then this book is for you. Try some of the recipes.
