I have been teaching the first and second grades at our church for fourteen years. This is the best Bible that has been produced for children. At a very early age they can begin to read the Bible on their own. Even before they can read they understand this version so clearly. It is the only Bible that I will recommend. We have seven children of our own and have just purchased our sixth copy of this wonderful translation. My uncle said that with this Bible nobody has an excuse not to read it from cover to cover!

This Bible works. It's not a dumbed-down or inaccurate paraphrase but a full translation. Missionaries are using this version as the basis for Bible study materials because it's accurate and simple. Try it with confidence.

I first got this bible for my son when he was in first grade. He is now in 7th grade and has moved up to a NIV and my daughter who is in first grade started using his old one. The cover is torn completely off it and I picked it up to bring in the house after church on day and mentioned it was looking pretty bad and my daughter said "Please don't throw it away, it is the only bible I can read by myself and understand too." Needless to say, I kept it and ordered her a new one for Christmas.

I purchased this book for my neices but found myself using it for my own personal Bible study on David. The stories flow like a story book rather than "scripture". The simplicity of the translation bring to life the characters and places. Although, I know how the stories end, I still find myself wanting to know more. It has been written on a third-grade level but can be used by all ages. This translation has inspired me to study more for which I am greatly thankful.

I first received this bible back in elementary school and have kept it until now, 15 years later. My little niece is starting to read the weather torn pages, so I recently bought one for her. The reference in the past review about Deuteronomy 18:12 was appalling. I understand that we all want to shield our children from certain facts or what not, but the verse in the Bible is accurate. I don't know about you, but I want my children to read the actual Bible (as I explain its context) rather than read one that strays from the truth.

I wish I had this Bible when I was a kid. The easy to read words help the Bible come to life for my boys 7 & 9 yrs. They very much enjoy the plain and simple English. No more asking "Mom, what does this word mean?" Most Bibles for kids are watered down or paraphrased. Not so with this one.I can follow along in my King James as the boys read, and not have to wonder which verse they are on.This Bible is right on target.

My five year old was immediately enthralled with the computer enhanced photos (of the new bible-soon to be released) depicting some of our favorite bible stories. The pictures are scattered periodically throughout the bible text and not necessarily with the context of the picture but they dramatize the story that our children know so well beginning with creation and ending with the Second Coming of Christ. The translation seems to be very accurate yet carefully written to make it easier for children to understand. Helpful notes are written at the bottom of every page and a wonderful dictionary is provided at the back of the bible to give explanation of words and their meanings.There is also a "Where Do I Find It?" reference section that is very helpful for a child learning to study God's word. The back of the book also hosts two sections that give our children an area to look up promises that apply to their personal challenges and verses for their life. My son and I like this bible a lot and I think your children will too!

This Bible is a MUST for kids. It is written at a 3rd grade level and so easy for them to understand. I've used it to just read to my kids and also in small group Bible studies with kids. If you are trying to explain something deep, though, you'll need to check an adult version just to be sure you're accurate. Added bonus: PICTURES to look at during church!

I like that this is an actual translation of the bible from the original Greek and Hebrew instead of just another interpretation of some other version. There are areas where I personally would have chosen different wording but the message is right on target and it is easily understandable for my children ages 5 and 6. I'm very happy with it.

I received this order in quick fashion and it arrived in very good condition. Unfortunately it was not the edition that I was trying to purchase. The seller was very accomadating and through no fault of theirs the first Bible was returned. She reshipped another edition that was the one I was trying to get. (i did not know that so many were published withe the same name but different editions) Anyway the seller was more than helpfull, She went way out of Her way to secure the correct edition. I received the replacement today and it is the correct edition. I would rate this seller "imliving4jesus" as exceptional. She deserves to be rated a 10 star rating. Thank You.
