Guido Gomez de Silva worked in 69 countries as a United Nations official, and has been gathering restaurant menus for over 50 years. Among other titles, he is the author of Elsevier's Concise Spanish Etymological Dictionary and Elsevier's International Dictionary of Literature and Grammar. He resides in Mexico City and is a member of the Mexican Academy of Language.

Keeping this review short; after reading through pages and jumping from terms to terms I use daily in a professional setting. I find this book as a simple guide for your average kitchen. I expected more detailed definition since this is a "Dictionary of Gastronomy". Oxford dictionary definition are more detailed.
