It's strange to do a book review on the Bible, but for anyone looking to get into the Word without getting distracted by the commentaries, this is a great version. It's NASB, so it's highly accurate (my only complaint about NASB is that it chooses to distinguish thoughts addressed to God by using Old English, which is a little subjective, not to mention outdated). The margins are huge for taking notes in, the maps and keys in the back are helpful, the fact that subject headings are not included encourages analytical thought, and the cross-references and concordance are fairly thorough. The page layout is reader friendly as well. I examined a lot of Bibles before purchasing this one, and I love it.

I recommend that New American Standard is the most accurate version that is translated from the original holy bible. It is good for everyone even new Christians.

I have been a preacher for 15 years, and have been using this Bible for just as long. I recommend it to anyone who is serious about Bible Study. This is the only "true" study Bible I have EVER found. Most "Study Bibles" are what other people have studied, and not really designed for your own personal work in the word of God. I love this Bible because it has huge margins for cross referencing and making notes. It has plenty of spaces for you to put chapter headings, and make notes embedded with the text and at the end of each book. It is excellent for marking, and holds the colors very well. It's manufacturing is high quality and will last a lifetime (with perhaps getting it rebound every 20-30 years or so). I prefer the 1993 version over the newer, because of the text and the larger margins. However, either one is better than any other Bible you can get on the market. This bible helps you do the studying on your own. It doesn't do the studying for you and want you to accept everything commentary has to say. In this Bible, you do the studying, you take the notes, you write the commentary. I have bought this for myself, as well as a copy for each of my two children. As I, and they, grow older... I hope it is the most cherished gift that I give them.

I love this Bible! I've had mine for at least 10 years now and have enjoyed it immensely! I bought this one for a new believer whom I am discipling. I also like this particular Bible because it has the old update from 1995, as opposed to the newest update. I'm not sure if re-marketing the NASB was the reason for the newest update, but from what I've seen, the changes in the words are not crucial, and at this point, the word changes just mess with my memorization :)
I strongly recommend the International Inductive Study Bible (NASB)! And while you're at it, find a Kay Arthur Study near you and go to it! If it wasn't for Precept Ministries, I don't think I would be as strong a Christian today (25 years later) as I am. I'm still pumped up about the WORD, and the Gift of Teaching that God gave to Kay Arthur has a whole lot to do with it!
I got this particular Bible on Amazon for an amazing $20! You can't beat such an excellent value, both in spiritual ways and in financial ways!

It is an excellent bible, I could find no commentary, only helpful suggestions on what to look for in the scriptures. The 'in text' charts, timelines and maps are a great plus, the best I have found. It could use a larger concordance. Thanks.
