4.0 out of 5 stars Anatomically correct
I have purchased this doll - boy version for my 2-year-old son. The biggest trouble was to get the boy version because Amazon kept repeatedly sending me the girl version, but after all that was behind us, my son could enjoy the BOY doll. What I really like about this doll is that it is anatomically correct which was my criterium No.1 and you do not see many of those in...

I bought this doll online for my daughter, who is going to be starting potty traing. This was supposedly one of the better ones on the market, after I did some research, I purchased it. When I got the doll we got all ready to use the doll and let her go potty, I assumed that she would not pee until I sat her on the potty or something similar. Much to my dismay, the doll as soon as you put the bottle in the dolls mouth she starts going!! EVERYWHERE! Needless to say I returned the item, and got the Little Mommy Potty Training doll, which uses magnets on her back, and the potty chair to make the baby go.

While my daughter likes this doll, it did not serve the purpose for which I intended. The plastic bottle was broken upon arrival, my daughter had trouble fitting the bottle into the dolls mouth and she also had trouble getting the baby to sit on the potty that came with the doll while she was feeding it (because the doll pees immediately). I would not recommend this product.

I have purchased this doll - boy version for my 2-year-old son. The biggest trouble was to get the boy version because Amazon kept repeatedly sending me the girl version, but after all that was behind us, my son could enjoy the BOY doll. What I really like about this doll is that it is anatomically correct which was my criterium No.1 and you do not see many of those in the stores (not for this price - that's why I gave it 4 stars). You have to wiggle the doll's legs to the "just right" position so it would stay sitting on the little potty it comes with. As others wrote the doll starts "peeing" as soon as it "drinks" but that does not bother me. We just sit the doll on the potty prior to the drink. The bottle is harder to fill. I just made a little bigger hole in it with a fork. When filling I submerge it in a bowl of water. My son does not yet have the strength in his little fingers to squeeze the bottle enough to fill it or to empty it in the doll's mouth. Neverthless, the point of the activity is doing things together and talk/do activities regarding potty training together. So this way it serves its purpose.

4.0 out of 5 stars My 2y/o loves her, June 23, 2006
This review is from: Gotz Aquini Girl Doll (Toy)
This doll is the perfect size for a toddler. My daughter does not like dolls, but she LOVES this baby!! I must admitt I have had more luck potty training the doll then the daughter, though.

My only complaint is the bottle that came with her. It is VERY hard to squeeze, and there is no way a small child could do it. My daughter is able to pretend to feed her with it, but she knows its not the same. Also it is very small, so I often have to refill it 2-3 times while trying to show my daughter how to potty in her toilet.

I would still recomend her to anyone. The doll itself is extremely high quality in my opinion. She's very soft and life-like, as well as very beautiful.
