My 3 year old daughter simply loves this game and play it as a family. Even my older child loves to play this game. They love the dog barking sounds when they pick up the hones. My daughter can set up the game by herself, which is an important independent tool. All she needs to do it to open up the board and placing one magnetic bone on each little dirt pile and that's it. Each player pushes the dog house in the middle of the board and listen for 1, 2, or 3 barks, and then move your dog the right number of spaces. The dog's nose is magnetic and it pick's up the magnetic bone on that spot and then you put in a dog's house according to the color on the underside of the bone. The game helps with counting some, but mostly with taking turns and learning winning and losing.

I purchased this game for my 2 ½ yr old and I'm thrilled. There are not that may games you can get for this age group - and this was perfect. It goes have small pieces, and an adult needs to play with the young kids - but it is fun and simple. My four year old will play with us for a few rounds - but will get bored with this simple game. Great for 2 ½ yrs to 4 yrs.

I played this game with my three year old grandson. He loved it and it held his interest for quite a while. Colorful, easy to play, simple rules. It was fun for me too. Kids practice counting, colors and taking turns. I am buying another for my granddaughter.

I run an in-home family childcare, so I have various ages. The 3-year-old boy will play this game a couple of times and then get bored. When choosing out of all the games on the shelves, this one doesn't get picked quite as much.

We got this game among other toys for Christmas. My 4-year old son LOVES it. This is his new favorite. Every day he wants to play Diggity Dog. The game is well built, very durable and a quick 10 minute fun game. Even our 9 and 11-year olds will jump in to play with our 4-year old. The doghouse in the middle is a little difficult to push down, but not too bad. Other than that, its an excellent game. Its a great combination of luck (how many barks from the electronic dog in the middle, 1, 2, or 3 barks) and skill (remembering where your color bones are buried). If your child likes MEMORY-type games, then they'll find this even more fun. I highly recommend for any family with younger kids... perfect for 4, 5 and 6 year olds. 3 year olds would like it too.

I bought this for my[...] twin sons. This game is a super easy, basic game that they were able to play without assistance. To play game, You press the electronic dog and it barks either 1, 2 or 3 times. You move however many spaces he barks. You then pick up the bone on the space you have landed and if it matches your color you keep it. The first to collect 3 bones wins. The game pieces are made out of hard plastic and very durable. The only downside would be that the small bones have magnets in them, so be sure to keep away from younger siblings that could accidently swallow.

I purchased Diggity Dog for my 3 year old for Christmas last year. My boys (now ages 4 & 7) love this game. It's a go-to when they need something they can play on their own. And yes, Mom loves to play to. The game is lots of fun, teaches them about counting, and I have had no trouble with the kids being able to push the puppy to hear it bark. Also, the batteries are still going from last Christmas, even though it's played multiple times a month. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that is looking!

This is a great starter game. The rules are simple and therefore very easy to understand. It helps with basic counting (1-2-3) and color recognition (red, blue, yellow, green). And it's a quick game - First player to collect 3 bones of their dog's color wins.

My daughter, a dog fanatic since she could walk, is a HUGE fan. And I like it because I can usually play at least two rounds with her before she loses interest. It's a great way to spend family time together and learn a bit at the same time.

This was purchased for my son for Christmas last year... The game is cute, and the way the dog picks up "his" bone is fun (via magnet on his nose), but the main issue is that the Dog only barks, 1, 2 or 3 times... that's it, over and over again. This makes the game take exceptionally longer because the max you can move on any turn is 3 spaces. My kids are 3 and 4 yrs old were bored after finding 1 or 2 bones, and ready to move on to something different.

My 19 month old is learning to count and learning colors and loves this game. She gets kinda frustrated because the puppies have a hard time picking up the bones because the magnets inside are very small and weak. You have to have it lined up just right. It would also be better if it went a little higher than 3 barks. Her and my 7 year old love playing this together and the youngest is frequently going to the game cupboard asking for woof woof.
