I am an Occupational Therapist and I bought this game with the intention of using it with my pre-school and kindergarten aged special needs students to address fine motor and visual motor skills. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed in the cheap quaility of the game. The tweezers are flimzy and cross at the ends which make it more frustrating for kids with poor pinch grips. Also, the game is very loud when it is shaking. I was under the impression only the bowl piece of the game would shake, but the entire wok shakes all over the table. Not even a paper towel can be placed under it to decrease the noise because then the wok won't shake at all. Unfortunately, this is not a game that is ideal for the population of special needs kids I intended it for. Very disappointing.

My family LOVES this game! My son, who is only 2 1/2, gets so giddy when we start it up. And it's a fun game for mom and dad to play along (for me, some kid games can get boring). Yes, I am aware of the age rating. However, we only allow him to play it with us parents. I thought he might be too young, but it's a great game. You just have to be vigilant with your supervision, as the beans are very small. We have had no issues.

We don't "play by the rules" yet. But I love the educational aspect this game provides. It also allows my son to use his creativity; he makes up his own games. For example: he likes to match the color of the "beans" to its perspective bowl. I challenge him by putting an orange bean in the blue bowl, purple bean in the green bowl, etc. He'll quickly use his chopsticks to move it the the proper bowl. What a great way to learn colors and matching! I also like that it has taught him how to master pinching the tongs. It prompted me to buy him a trainer set of chopsticks and he can use them without difficulty, thanks to this game. And when he tires of playing games, he sometimes just uses the wok to "cook" for us. :)

This really is a fun and educational game. I recommend it!

I have purchased this game for three sets of kids, ranging in age from 2yrs to 8yrs they all loved it. No batteries were needed to play with it either. just made up variations and counted on speed to add the actions. I helps with sorting, fine motor, hand eye coordination, and helped me teach them good sportsmanship. the only glitch is that it is a small game so four bigger kids are a crowd but great for 4 3yr olds!

This is really a great product, but don't lose the little beans cause you will have to buy a brand new game. No replacements.

I bought this game for my son to help him with fine motor skills, sensory play and hand-eye coordination. The game, overall, is a lot of fun, and our entire family enjoys playing it. There are several cons I want other parents to consider:

1. The entire wok structure is very flimsy, especially once you put the batteries in.
2. You will have pellets everywhere, and I mean everywhere once the wok is turned on.
3. This game is best played on the floor rather than the table, it is constantly falling.

Is it a fun activity? Sure. Does it help with the child's pincer? - Yes. Will I recommend it to other parents - not so sure. I would look for another, more sturdy game.

We purchased this game for my 2 and 4 year olds, specifically to work on fine motor skills in my 4 year old. This game is really fun for the kids. There are several ways it can be played to work on different skills (the children can pick up any color pieces, pick up only pieces that match their set, use with our without vibration, use a timer, etc.). The game also does what I wanted, which is to help with fine motor skills.
I am impressed with the durability and function of the game. It also has enough pieces that if a couple get lost, the game is still playable. Great toy that can help with skill development as well.

I love the idea of this game and the bright pieces and the finger work. I am a therapist and I am always looking for games that are fun that help fine motor skills. This game was great the first time that I used it and then it would start out shaking and moving but in less than 15 seconds. It basically stops moving and it isn't fun for the kids anymore. I was very disappointed. I have changed the batteries but that doesn't seem to help.

I am a speech pathologist and use this with kids of all ages. They will work really hard to earn it, and I can stretch out a whole session and just let them do it for 3 minutes at the end. When I first got it, it was fun for my family to play as well: adults and kids all wanted a turn! Lots of fun, and no complaints!
