About the Author
Margaret Ford discovered her interest in cake decorating at catering college in Aberdeen. She designs original and innovative equipment and created the CelCakes specialist range of products for cake decorators. In 1991, Nicholas Lodge set up the International Sugar Art Collectiion (ISAC) in Atlanta, Georgia. He also operates a school of confectionery and sugar arts, a retail cake decorating store and a mail order and internet business.

This is a bold book requiring high skill levels to achieve perfect results. However, it also covers a wide range of techniques which are helpfully broken down into small steps that the average or enthusiastic beginner can attempt with remarkable results. Careful reading of the entire book by the novice will show areas that enable
all levels of skills that can be attempted or modified.

Many different techniques from the best of the best. Whether you like whimsical or realistic, there is much to learn.
You'll find mostly gumpaste/flowerpaste technique, but don't expect the chunky "cookie cutter" look. This detail is as fine as it gets.
Great for those who want to "rest those weary wrists" as it shows a beautiful alternative to classical piping.
