Editorial Reviews

“When you've been reading M. J. Hyland, other writers seem to lack integrity.”  —Hilary Mantel, winner of the Man Booker Prize, on M. J. Hyland.

“Levy’s work represents an impressive stylistic achievement, tapping, I believe, at the door of that unrepressedly ‘feminine’ prose-style, which Virginia Woolf anticipated and coveted."  —Times on Deborah Levy

"The most riveting look at the dark side of marriage since Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"  —Stephen King on Adam Ross's Mr. Peanut

Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The two winning stories, East of the West and Sanctuary were very good, and worth having. The other stories did not come up to these two and were largely depressing. I am not convinced by the selection.
