About the Author

This is the third book written by Fred Crismon. From 1946 until today, the literature on all makes of cars and trucks has continued to accumulate in Fred's collections. Even in the 35 years of military and government service, of which 21 years were spent outside the US, Fred always made a point to try to keep up to date on International trucks. It was not an easy task, but through letters to the company, assistance from friends, and periodic trips back to the US, the file maintained some degree of continuity. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

If you're looking for an interesting summary of their trucks in a simplistic pictorial chronological presentation and want almost zero mechanical reference, this book is for you. Don't buy this book for repair or restoration tips, it's not that kind of book. Interesting enough as a look at the evolution of these tough practical trucks, but very basic year by year model examples only, along with the company's history.

This book is without question the finest photographic history of International Trucks ever published. An absolute must for every IH collector! Shows models and descriptions for nearly every model IH ever built from 1902-2002. Incredibly educational for any IH truck enthusiast.
World famous author Crismon has out done himself on this one. "The Best," highly recommended!

This is a good resource book, A Pictorial with captions, Sadly all photos are B&W(2002 book) but there is a updated version with 100 colorphotos section. immense book,different trucks, My compliant is that it is expensive but For these many pages of material it is justifiable.
