practical for travel,
This review is from: International plug adaptor for use in Continental Europe. (Kitchen)
I travel with at least 3 of these (and one grounded adaptor) - they are very practical and small enough to tuck into empty spaces in my gear bag. I definitely recommend taking several so you can charge your phone, ipod, camera batteries and laptop at the same time. I've had others that were so loose and you had to wiggle the plug a bit & position the cord just to get it to stay in the outlet - I've bought several of this brand and they fit the plug perfectly and also fit tightly in the adaptor.

These plugs are more sturdy than ones that I have previously purchased. They are also designed to accomodate polarized U.S. plugs.

Best of the rest.,

Several years now, I have used this brand of international plug adaptor for my American electrical products. This is the best quality I have found compared to other brands I have tried. You will not regret purchasing this product.

I recently travelled abroad with a rather large group. Many people in the group purchased very expensive adapters. The first night, all the expensive chargers blew up, and mine worked fine. You don't need to buy big expensive chargers for travel abroad. These little units worked perfect, were small and if you lost it, no biggie! They were cheap! Buy several! Thay are all you need for European travel.

Used this adapter on recent trip to Switzerland and it worked fine. It is small and easy to use and wasn't expensive. I only bought one and I had no problem keeping my cell phone, computer, and electric razor charged but some people might consider buying two since they don't cost much; also would give you spare in case you lost one.

It worked exactly as it should in Italy. I used it for a week to charge my cellphone and my camera batteries.

Round, 3-prong adapters are better.,
By Daniel (Ithaca, NY United States) - See all my reviews

Instead of these, I recommend round adapters for US 3-prong as well as 2-prong plugs. Why? Because they have a better, more snug fit on both sides. They fit more snuggly in the Euro/Schuko socket. These flat 2-prong adapters in my experience tend to have a looser connection or even fall out of the socket - esp. if yours is a heavy cable or if it has one of those AD/DC converters at the plug end pulling down on the adapter.
On the other hand, flat 2-prong adapters are slightly more compact and fit better in your pocket. So if you want to get one, I recommend you at least find one that is rubberized or has ridges or a lip to make it easier to pull out of the socket. (The cheap ones made of hard slippery plastic are the worse). And make sure you don't overpay. There are dozens of merchants selling these; make sure you don't pay more than $2/pc including shipping. Lastly, keep in mind, the schuko socket fits most European countries but not all - most notably UK, and Italy which have their own peculiar sockets.

These plug adapters do what they're supposed to--adapt from US plugs to European plugs. Had no problems whatsoever and with all of the chargers, etc. I carry, I am glad I brought along three.

Works...but takes some effort.,

The adapter worked, however, I thought it was a dud until I realized it does not tightly hold American plugs. When we plugged anything in it would work unless I torqued it around a little. REalized that the contacts were too narrow for my plugs. Just bent the prongs together a little bit and then had no problems...at least until I bent one of them a little too much.

This adaptor works very well for all tested plugs in Belgium and France. The adaptor design is not very appealing but it does the job and it holds tightly (which is not always the case for others adaptors). The item perfectly fits my expectation and the prize is great!! Enjoy
