Smirk while you surf,
By Dan Amrich (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Internet After Hours (Online) (Paperback)
Andy Eddy's wild, wild web tour may be a few years old, but it's no less entertaining. It's still an excellent primer for those just starting to use the Internet for entertainment, and details a number of basic Internet tools (Telnet, etc) and how to use them--but more importantly, why you'd want to. From massive online role-playing games to Proctor & Gamble's unbelievable list of registered domain names (not just listerine.com, but also badbreath.com--and they get worse), it's helpful and humorous at the same time.

This book was written in late 1995 but its a fun and interesting read. Basically it explains the USENET and most of the topics in there (including some of the adult ones).

I know, I borrowed the above line from the cover of the book, but it is exactly that! INTERNET AFTER HOURS (2nd Ed.) Is a wonderful book, full of many interesting sites, including not only World Wide Web pages, but FTP, Newsgroups, and Telnet as well!! This book is full of wonderful information, and anyone who is looking for something to spice up his or her life on the internet should get this book.
