This is a time capsule of history with interviews with actual architects of the Internet and the World Wide Web (sans Al Gore). The video shows the Hows and Whys of the evolution of a tool that is indispensable in today's world. This documentary should be interesting to techies, non-techies, newcomers to the web and long-time users.

This is an excellent video, with a very wide source of visuals and footage, and covers the same ground as Vols 1 and 3 of 'Nerds 2' but in only 1 hour. The tone is scholarly and informative, and very compelling. I thoroughly recommend it. It covers the ARPANET, with many interviews of the famous scientists featured in Nerds 2, with a bias to the West Coast. I am very happy with this and will use it in my student classes often.

I am bitter and angry...this film has irritated me highly...it's not on DVD!! This film is the best film you could ever wish to see with more information than many of the best internet sites in the world, there are hundreds of websites devoted to this video and it is the best program i have ever watched on TV and although I dont watch many programmes and it's unusual for me to rate something so highly, this is a great program that i would die a happy man if it was to be released on DVD
