Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

From those nice folks who brought you the SATs comes Internet Guide for College-Bound Students. This extremely lightweight book is a fine starting point for both college students and those who are heading off to college soon. This book helps you do a college search to find information pertaining to a particular institution, including financial aid, scholarships, and (of course) entrance examinations. There is a modicum of introductory material for using the Internet, such as Web browsing, e-mail, newsgroups, and bulletin boards, but a separate reference to this material is highly recommended. Internet Guide for College-Bound Students includes a selection of URLs to get you going on your searching and browsing and features plenty of advice on where to go for more.

Search engines aren't enough. Ken Hartman did an awful lot of work that will save teachers and students an awful lot of time if they choose to utilize the Internet in the college admissions process. This book should be placed next to every computer in every high school in the United States.
