Editorial Reviews

From the Author

From Peter Alexander - John Nobrega and I decided to write and publish this book as an easy-to-read resource for our clients and business associates who are looking for brainstorming ideas to improve their Web presence. We recognize that time is a precious commodity and busy people do not have time to read a 300-page book. Therefore, each tip has purposely been limited to five sentences or less so you can get right to the point and spark ideas that will help make your Web sites more effective. After reading the tips, you will be better prepared to discuss marketing needs with your Web site vendor.

About the Author

Peter Alexander has been involved with Internet Marketing since 1995 when he worked as the Marketing Director for a software start-up company in Silicon Valley. In addition, he has held various marketing and sales management positions in retail, transportation, human resources, and medical products. During the 1980s, he earned his BS and MBA degrees in Marketing Management from the California State University system. In addition to this book, he has contributed to several articles in national publications including Technology Business, InformationWeek, Marketing News and Human Resources Executive. Mr. Alexander also serves as a marketing instructor for the University Of California, Berkeley Extension where he developed an on-line e-commerce course titled Marketing For E-Commerce.

John Nobrega has been designing and managing Web sites since Mosaic, the first Web browser, was introduced. He founded and now runs Raydiate, a successful Web and E-commerce solutions company. Previously, John was the Operations Manager and part-owner of a Silicon Valley start-up company that conducted e-commerce transactions over the Internet. John earned a BA in English from University of California at Davis.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad, Basic, Expensive, Simple, Outdated, Short, Redundant, January 8, 2000
This review is from: Internet Marketing Tips For Busy Executives (Paperback)
The book is made of 132 tips, around 3 or 4 per page, with no more than 160 words per page. It would be a good introdutory book for middle school students. However, if you at least read Business Week once a month, nothing new will come out

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have desk reference for web masters & managers!, October 18, 1999
This review is from: Internet Marketing Tips For Busy Executives (Paperback)
This is a classic case of "less is more". This little book is deceptive. It is packs more real knowledge and usable ideas and tips into fewer pages than anything else on the market. The authors clearly have "been there--done that" when it comes to designing and supporting web business.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wish I'd found it sooner..., January 26, 2000

This review is from: Internet Marketing Tips For Busy Executives (Paperback)
After spending $50+ on magazines and other books on how to successfully market my service via the Web, I wish I would have discovered this book initially. Why read a manual when the essential checklist has already been developed? This book includes hints and reminders helpful at the design stage all the way to site maintenance. Although marketed for executives, anyone who has an Internet presence will find the information in this book valuable. It's a resource that I'll use frequently.
