You get what you pay for. The LAN adaptor arrived and I hooked it up to the Wii. After jumping through the configuration process, it worked great... but not for long.

Soon there were data problems and intermittent line losses. It was exasperating and very hard to determine the problem as it would come and go. Finally it "opened" completely and I was able to to figure out that it had burned out completely.

It's Chinese made cheap junk apparently. Worse still, the seller will not return my email requests for an exchange. Guess I better write this one off and ship it to the circular file.

Save yourself the trouble. BUY A BETTER PRODUCT- NOT THIS ONE! Don't waste your money like I did. ZERO STARS (if that's possible).

Works great just as intended. Tried to purchase from Best Buy and Staples, but both stores no longer carry them due to advanced technology. Was thrilled to find online so we could stream Netflix through our old gaming system.

I have been having problems connecting my Wii to the internet in college, I tried this and although the product might work im not entirely sure. The campus routers are not compatible with the Wii unfortunately.

HOWEVER, when I asked for a refund because the product didn't work, they simply gave me a refund (even for the shipping) and even let me keep it! I will try this out on my Wii at home over Christmas break and see if it truly works or not. Very impressed with the seller however, made it extremely easy for me, which makes all the difference when your a busy freshman in college.

I would order from this company again, Excellent customer service!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy October 1, 2012

Here's the deal. Many no name companies build devices like this using whatever inexpensive parts they have on hand. That means an adapter that looks identical to another could have completely different internals. One may work great with your Wii, while the other is a dud.

I picked this up at a computer market here in Egypt and I had no luck with it. Unless the manufacture specifically claims to support the Wii, avoid the product. Nintendo's official adapter is rare here, but I eventually found one made by Trendnet that did the trick (model number TU2-ET100) for 125 EGP (about $15-20).

An adapter from a known vendor may be more costly, but the chances of it working are significantly greater. I would not buy this unless you intend to use it with a PC or Mac -- and even then I'm not sure. Despite being advertised as Mac-compatible the drivers are supplied on a 3" CD -- a medium that Apple optical drives cannot accept.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solved an easy problem August 19, 2011

In bought this LAN adapter for my Wii so that I had a direct route to my router. Because of access problems with my router we set it on the 'N' setting, unfortunately the Wii runs on a 'G' setting. I bought the LAN adapter and the coax cable at Amazon (both at a great price) and it easily solved my problem.
