Because of the tremendous array of resources on the Internet today, professors Jiao and Liu intend to save investors time by helping them find relevant sources to increase their financial opportunities in a global environment. Covering 216 countries, regions, and territories and listing more than 3,000 Web sites, this work is organized into six main sections. The first section, "Global Finance and Investment Resources," arranges Web sites under subject areas like "International Trade Associations" and "Emerging Market Resources." The rest of the volume is arranged by continent. For each, a section on "General Finance and Investment Resources" is followed by an alphabetical country list with the best sites specific to each country.

The Web resources include sites on real estate, taxation, government agencies, trade regulations, country profiles, privatization programs, and business, personal, public, or corporate finance. Under each country, sites are grouped under four categories: "Government Agency," "Stock Exchange," "Business and Investment Sites," and "Business and Financial/Economic News." Each entry includes the title, URL, and a descriptive paragraph highlighting the content of the site. Most sites are free, in English, and were last checked in September 2000. Three indexes complete the volume: an alphabetical Web site index, a country index, and a huge subject index.
