1.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous Product
I originally bought an Etrust Product and it was bought out and replaced with CA Security Suite. I have used it for several years with out many problems, other than what I consider the normal "Windows" problems of not being able to access lots of sites, no being able to download things, etc.. Anyway, a couple weeks ago I started getting viruses for the first time,...

4.0 out of 5 stars Security For Dummies, December 25, 2008
This review is from: Internet Security Suite 2009 1-User (CD-ROM)
These days, there is so much we need with our computer, and especially with security. While most of us have things we download with movies, television shows, music and now movies. But with all of that, it also is much easier to see that your computer will have a tough time trying to make sure your computer is protected from spyware, viruses and vicious malware which can force your computer to shut down from and be irraticated from attacks. While I've tried brands like Trend Micro, which took a massive hit on my computer, and I wound up losing all my data, and all my important entertainment files. So, I had to go somewhere else just so I can get more secure, and I went back to CA.

CA's Internet Security Suite 2009 is a simple and easy to use software that does a much more through job at protecting your computer from all those problems that can slow your computer down. It is easy to use, and simple to install. The setup includes firewall and ant-virus protection that works very well, and does a grea job at protecting and scanning your computer for viruses and problems. There also is things that also work well like strong parental blockers, which you can use to prevent your kids from going on certain sites which you could find unsafe or unsecure. It also includes a DNA migrator, which safely backups and copies all your stored software, so you can have that extra protection for your needs. The software works well, but it sadly does take up a lot of your hard drive storage space after awhile, so once you back up too much, it will slow your hard drive down. But, it does do the job nicely at protecting those needs.

All in all, despite a couple of flaws, CA's Internet Security Suite is well-worth the money. I sadly wish that it could've been a little less expensive to make it worth while, but that is handles the job well. If you want too find a better internet protection software, than CA's Internet Security Suite 2009 is worth the security.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous Product, August 27, 2009
This review is from: Internet Security Suite 2009 1-User (CD-ROM)
I originally bought an Etrust Product and it was bought out and replaced with CA Security Suite. I have used it for several years with out many problems, other than what I consider the normal "Windows" problems of not being able to access lots of sites, no being able to download things, etc.. Anyway, a couple weeks ago I started getting viruses for the first time, caught by CA.. Then I started getting subscription renewal notices that my credit card wouldn't process so they needed me to update my account. My software says my subscription doesn't expire for another year and they are already trying to charge my credit card? I went looking for the 800 number to find that they apparently don't want any communications with their customers, regardless of the issue, without being paid by the minute. It is obvious to me that the virus attacks that co-inside with my renewal are NOT a coincidence and that if I had not used a one time, secure, credit card number I would have paid for service that is not due. Weasles.. my advice? Buy a mac so you don't have to deal with this garbage!
