5.0 out of 5 stars Internet Today, March 8, 2000
By
Angela Norell (Hennepin County Library, Electronic Resources Training Team) - See all my reviews
This is a thorough and well-documented description of email, search techniques, and search tools. It is one of the few books designed specifically as a teaching text for beginners but experienced searchers have much to learn as well from the comprehensive material. The format makes it easy to scan text, the index locates specific details and chapters conclude with summaries, terms and exercises. Web screens, bulleted lists, charts and examples help illustrate the concepts. Published in 1999 it does not cover the most current changes, but it is an excellent resource for learners and teachers.
