Easy reading, with good examples of the various types and styles of conflict management, metaphors and escalation. Upon hearing the fate of Phil Hartman, I immediately thought of this book, and how its examples may have definately helped, as it has helped me to clarify issues in my marriage. However, the book failed to incorporate enough visual demonstrations of its "hands-on" ideas such as flowcharts or other types of process charts, thus probably causing the "visual-learner" type of audience to not be able to keep track of the "how-to" process. The book was used for a Public Conflict Resolution Ph.D course, however I would recommend it for any type of college course relating to conflict management.

If you are taking a class that calls for the 7th Edition, you can use the 6th edition of this book. Not much changed except that a few chapters were switched around. I used the 6th Edition in a class that used the 7th Edition and got an A. : ) I'm sure everyone can think of a lot better ways to spend $90+!

This book is very poorly written. Somewhere below the run-on sentences and indecision about use of italics or boldface, there just might be some valuable information but you'll have to dig to find it. I suspect this book has been revised too many times and old information is getting mixed in with the new. I am disappointed that my teacher chose this book because I had been looking forward to the course. Now I'm just plodding through it with my eye on the finish line.

My students like this book, and so do I. I particularly like the concrete planning strategies, which can be helpful to anyone struggling to manage conflict. This book is one that I use to teach, but it changes my own behaviors along the way.

This book was very helpful for the class I was taking, but also to help resolve conflict in all areas of life. This book is full of ideas on how to approach difficult situations and resolve them in an affirmative manner.

The book does what its supposed to do. Its required for class and this is a cheap place to get it.

I was excited when I saw one of my textbooks for class available for my Kindle. Then after I purchased it I realized its only available for Kindle for PC. I cannot download it to my Kindle, I cannot read it on the Cloud, I cannot read it at work. I am NOT happy. If its for the Kindle why can't it be for ALL VERSIONS? Now my studies are limited to home.

The product was of the highest quality, and was shipped on time! I will certainly be a repeat customer time and time again! Wow is all I have to say!

I thought the condition of the book was good and it arrived a little bit slower than usual. I found the reading to be a bit slow for me because some Chapters are too long to read.
