These titles are from an era of computer games that relied as much on the user's imagination as graphics and sound, so the plots and storylines are what made these games classics stand out above all else. No fancy graphics, sound, or user interface, just award winning character development and creative alternatives to the average hack n' slash of the day. Finally, every single one of the manuals for these is available online (most in pdf form), so there is no excuse to not revisit your favorite Interplay games with this release.

I got this anthology just for the Wasteland game. Wasteland is a LOT more difficult than I remembered but for a turn-based, 2D game it keeps you moving toward the next challenge.
If you are interested, look up all your old instructions for playing slow DOS games on modern pcs. The disk is short on usuable documentation so you generally have to use trial-and-error to learn the games - after you get them working. My advice? Only get this if you have played the games before - there is no 3D, fluid graphics or killer sound. |
