Interpol will release their first album in four years, 'El Pintor,' September 9th on Matador. Recorded at Electric Lady Studios and Atomic Sound in New York City, the ten tracks on ‘El Pintor,’ - taut and epic in equal measure - find the band completely reinvigorated after a two and a half year break from touring. Recorded at Electric Lady Studios and Atomic Sound in New York City, the ten tracks on ‘El Pintor,’ - taut and epic in equal measure - find the band completely reinvigorated after a two and a half year break from touring. Interpol premiered songs from ‘El Pintor’ in March while headlining the NME Awards tour in the UK. The Guardian praised their set at London’s Brixton Academy as "lean and powerful.”
