2.0 out of 5 stars If you can't see the contour lines..., December 16, 2008

This review is from: Interpretation of Landforms from Topographic Maps and Air Photographs: A Laboratory Manual (Paperback)
The biggest issue our Geomorphology class had with this lab manual of topo maps and aerial pics was the poor quality of image. Trying to count contour lines on many of the maps in this book proved to be more than frustrating for students new to maps. It was not an issue of map scale, it was an issue of print quality. The lab instructor's copy had crisper images than the manuals the students had. The images are poor quality black and white for the most part. The questions based on the maps are actually quite good, it was the maps themselves that prevented me from liking this book.
