MR SAM AND ANDY DUGUID VS. BENETAR - INVISIBLE

Biography

Mr Sam History

Born in Tourcoing, France, in the mid 70s, Mr Sam had no escape from his parents own musically mixed cocktails of Giorgio Moroder and Klaus Schulze combined with a dash of Elvis Presley. Through this heavy involuntary dose of electronica & rock n roll, he developed an early fascination for squelchy synthesizer sounds and after buying his first Depeche Mode single in the mid 80s, he… Read more in Amazon's Mr Sam Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Taking remixes to the next level!, March 27, 2007

This review is from: Interpretations (Audio CD)
I'm not a huge fan of remix albums. They are usually not very inspiring, too focused on long drawn out beats and not enough meat into the songs etc etc.

This is not a mish mashed remix album though. This is pure energy and pure quality. Lyteo was the previous album before this and it was very solid and good in its own. It had a little bit of everything, great downtempo electronic songs with some dance ones. This album here is more focused of course on trance/dance remixes but they are all in good taste with great quality beats to them and they are not your typical borring all sounding the same remixes either.

I love how varied the remixers are and i love the end result, because you hear all these different interpretations of the songs yet in a whole new light from the original versions. They have different dance energy infused to them, different beats and electronics, some have slightly different lyrics. They all have one thing in common though, great energy, great lyrics, great performances (by Kirsty Hawkshaw, Rani and Crash Course in Science) and some very talented remixers to make this trully one of the best remix/dance albums to come out for a while.

I highly recommend this album as well as the original "Lyteo".
