"Interpreting the Symbols and Types" is not just another fanciful work on mystic symbols and types. What makes this book so unique is the basis of its interpretation. Kevin Conner allows the scriptures to interpret the scriptures. When the student of the Word diligently utilizes this book, they will walk in this life with an even greater confidence of the awesome and amazing integrity of the scriptures. No student of any christological persuasion should be without this book. It will benefit and perhaps challenge the most strongest of traditional and historical methods of interpretations

Using this book along with your Bible while studying God's Word, will bring greater depth of understanding to you. God often spoke mysteries by using types and symbols. To not have an understanding of Biblical types & symbols, is to miss some of God's greatest treasures.

This book will stretch your thinking and methods of Bible study beyond that which you have ever done before. He who has an ear to hear will receive much from this awesome study help...remember, this is only a guide. If you open your spirit to knowledge and wisdom, then this will be of great help to unlocking the truth and to reveal the Hidden Manna!! Enjoy!

I have found this to be a very handy guide to types and symbols in the Bible. It not only gives you the types and symbols, but also the Bible references where it is to be found, and the interpretation of it. This guide is very thorough, covering many areas, e.g. symbolic names, colors, directions, places, numbers, persons, etc. However, a word of caution is on the extent to which these types and symbols are to be used. Though the interpretation is there, these interpretations are not to be taken as a superstitious thing and application of these types and symbols are to be carefully studied and prayed through.

THREE STARS THOUGH ONLY ONE SHOWS. This book is a quick reference, not very comprehensive reading. It is charts with a limited commentary for interpretation. It is A reference of symbols, and catagorizing, more than teaching. Most incidences in the old testament are also related to salvation and Christ. One example of what I am referring to is the Symbol: "Door of Tabernacle," Mr. Conner's interpretation is: Place of entrance or exit, enter in or out. Christ our entrance to God." He says the same thing about the pillar of fire and cloud. It is skeletal, so if that is what you are looking for, just a general overview, without too much teaching and no application, this is it, symbols defined with little commentary.

I recently was given a copy of this book and by the title I thought the book would be an odd study of types and symbols in the Bible with nearly everything being a symbol (or type) of this and that. I was worried that the author would read into the text too much and while he admits to this danger, he does a good job of correctly dealing with the types and symbols of Scripture.

This book is well worth the price and offers the reader hours of Bible study as you look up the many references that Conner gives for the various types. One point that I was honoured to see what that the author's desire is to glorify Christ by showing from Genesis to Revelation that God is worthy of praise and that He reveals Himself through symbols and types in order for us to know Him better. The author believes that the ultimate purpose of God's self revelation is redemption.

Overall this is a worthwhile book and a must for those wanting to go deeper in their Bible studies.

I have given away this book as well as having it on my reference shelf. I use it often. Good metaphorical reference for hidden meanings in scripture, dreams, prophetic words and life. It is a hidden treasure book.

Great work again by Kevin J Conner. The book's title is an accurate description of what is contained in this reference tool. My Bible reading is enriched and has become much more meaningful.

I keep this book with my Bible because it is so helpful when researching. It backs everything up with scripture, which I love.

This book is a great addition if you are interested in understanding your dreams and/or deepening your bible study.
