I was a bit surprised that this book does not mention the Grossman facet scales nor, on cursory inspection, is Dr. Grossman even mentioned. That said, it does offer a 3 point cookbook method to interpretation, useful suggestions for therapy and treatment planning and overview of basic scales of the MCMI. This book is useful, but other texts will be needed to fully familiarize one's self with thoroughly with the MCMI.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the guide is in desperate need of a revision. However, as an entry level text to interpreting the MCMI-III, it does have utility. I might recommend this work to graduate students, however as previously mentioned, other works are more updated thus raising their future utility.

This book is now getting quite out-of-date. As the other reviewer observed, the Grossman Facet scales are not discussed. Also the 3-point codetypes are based on the original MCMI. There is little if any meaningful discussion about how they apply to the MCMI-III.
