We love this book! It was invaluable to my wife and me as we recently moved from LA to ID. Because of this book, we weren't endlessly driving because we couldn't find a place to stay in minimally populated areas of the United States. The comfort this paperback provides knowing what services are available while driving is endless. We now give "Exit Authority" as gifts!

If you like to know what's up the road, this book tells you. It lists motels, restaurants, hospitals, veteranarians, fuel stops, even Wal Marts, at each exit, and whether they accommodate RVs. Even if you travel the "blue highways", they cross Interstates and you can find places to gas-up and eat.

I have the 2000 edition of "Interstate Exit Authority" and found it very helpful during my Summer of 2000 road trip to and from California. The book is detailed yet easy to read and use- it covers every exit on every interstate and major highway. Before the road trip, the book saved me time and resources during the planning stages. During the road trip, looking up information was fast and easy. The book was a huge 600+ pages, yet easy to carry and handle, and overall very durable. I'd like to see it back on the market, with new editions every 12 months.

In traveling up and down the east coast this book has been right on. My wife has found it to be very easy to read and can quickly make a snap decision on whether I should exit at the slightest moment without running into difficulty maneuvering our 40' RV w/tow. In the past couple of years however we have noted a number of changes that had to be added to update this great book. A new edition is definately needed. If you don't have a copy and if you can, buy it, borrow it or steal it, because it is well worth avoiding the grief that you could possibly endure without it!

This book is excellent and we would't travel without it. We use this book to locate places to stay, shopping centers, service stations and places to turn around when you make a wrong turn. Makes a wonderful gift for friends with RVs.

Exit Authority 2000 has lots of information however it's written like a telephone book, with small print! I can't imagine anyone on the road or at a truck stop, thumbing through this book to find a specific service they are looking for! All this information would probably be better on a CD, to be used in a laptop in you RV, or possibly incorporated in an RV satellite navagation system.

I DID NOT READ THIS BOOK BUT WANT TO KNOW WHAT INFO IS AVAILABLE ABOUT THE SERVICES AT EACH EXIT. DO THEY GIVE THE NAMES OF THE SERVICES, PRICES, PETS ALLOWED ETC. THIS DETERMINES IF I WISH TO PURCHASE OR NOT.
