This review is from: Intervention (Tempe Crabtree Mystery Series, Book 3) (Mass Market Paperback)
Another Tempe mystery. This mystery series needs to be read in order. Again, her Indian heritage and her husband's conservative Christianity clash, but not to the extent in the last book. However, after reading the prequel and then books one through three, Hutch is beginning to sound immature as he pouts about Tempe's involvement in her work. At least in this book he wasn't making demands that she not doing what she felt she had to do as a deputy, but he still was hurt when he didn't get her full attention. I hope in future books Marilyn Meredith plays down this aspect of their relationship.
The Hard Shell Word Factory who published this book did a poor job on publishing it, or at least did so in the Kindle version. There were no quotation marks used through most of the book; for a short time in the middle of the book they were used. |
