Intervideo DVD Copy 5 Platinum [Old Version]

I had DVD Copy 4 and it worked great. I upgraded to DVD Copy 5 so thaqt I could create high quality iPod videos but have encountered the following issues
1) This version always uses the C: Drive for temporary files even if you define a different drive in the configuration
2) After converting the file to temporary space on the C: Drive the program churns and churns and ends up Not Reponding

I have registered the product online and have reported the problems above three times through Intervideo's online support form and have not received and answer.

I would highly recommend not upgrading to DVD Copy 5

Downloaded a trial version and it failed to work, so I emailed customer service. (No toll free phone support) A week and a half has went by with no response. Even after continued emails asking for help. Don't waste your time and $ on this one. If they treat a potential customer this poorly, imagine how they will treat you after they have your hard earned $...

By the way, look at the reviews for the other products they offer. There are some serious issues that need to be resolved at Intervideo.

I purchased this mainly to backup DVD movies. It works perfectly...one DOES have to have enough memory if there is ONLY ONE dvd drive in PC. I'm no expert and was able to first copy the movie (utilizing this software) to a USB external drive. I only have one DVD drive on my laptop, so this works great. When the movie is copied, the program prompts me to insert a blank DVD to copy to.

I like the feature that allows you to compress the main movie onto one disk if it is a long one...and without the extra movie features if you choose.

I tried the more current version (downloaded a trial) and couldn't figure out how to set it up to do a movie backup. I don't use the IPOD and other features...but the best movie backup software I found...so is fine if I only do backup and nothing else.
