Editorial Reviews

The Interview Sessions features 70 minutes of material in which all members are recorded in conversation at various strategic points in their lengthy career. From the band discussing the circumstances that led to the death of Chris Burton in 1985, to a frank description of their show at San Quentin prison in 2003 at which the video for St. Anger was recorded, and from a playful discussion on German television with the entire group, to a humbled James Hatfield talking of his addictions and recovery programme, this disc is all at once enlightening, inspiring and entertaining and is a fitting tribute to a band who have eclipsed virtually all the competition over almost 3 decades.
