After spending lots of time researching about interviewing through various websites, I was VERY happy to get this book. It had everything I needed to prepare for interviewing. I didn't have to keep searching on those sites because not only was all the info I needed in front of me, it was coming from a very credible source. This book is very reader friendly and a great reference. The author hits on some very important topics. A section in one of the chapters that helped me was about how to sell yourself to the interviewer and how to approach each interview in a unique way. Another section talked about appropriate dress for the interview and gave some useful tips - things many people sometimes don't focus on because of the other things they are worrying about. Spending some time with this book will make you confident and feel like you have the control you need in the interview. I graduated in May 2010 and landed a job in about 6 weeks. It is definitely a must-have for new college grads and can actually benefit anyone in the job market in today's world.

The Good News: You or your children have recently graduated & really want to find a job!

The Bad News: You can't (and are still living at home)!

Help maybe on the way in the form of this new book...

The book is written and speaks directly to college students and the new graduate. If you are a parent, hopefully, you know this stuff already. But, evidently the kids really don't know it... and they need to learn it somewhere... especially to get a job in today's marketplace.

The book covers what to do in different kinds of interviews (career fair, telephone, on-site, etc.) and interviewing situations (the group interview, the meal interview, the online interview, etc.). It even covers dressing for success. Males should have polished shoes for interviews... evidently a new concept for many. And, women should not only wear stockings for the interview but, carry an extra pair in case of a run.

This US$25.00 expenditure may make the entire US$100,000+ spent on a college education worthwhile.

I am a senior at Marist College's School of Management pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (International Business). Ellyn coached me during the end of this past semester and has helped me gain a wealth of information in regards to landing some big interviews I have coming up. She opened my eyes to many things that had not occurred to me before in regards to knowing what to expect in interviews, how to prepare, how to gain confidence, and many other critical aspects. The knowledge and experience that she shared with me was priceless and I plan on using it for years to come.
This book is an easy read that is full of great tools and insight that everyone my age could use. It's hard enough going through college, but with the information in this book, I have gained much more confidence to take on what lies ahead. I highly recommend her book as well as her services if they are available to you. You will not regret it.

Ellyn's book "Job Interview Skills 101" is a must read for all recent graduates. Despite attending as many "how to boost your resume" and "how to rock an interview" seminars, I rate this book above all of those. Not only do you receive general tips and tricks that are useful to people just starting the Job search but you also learn trade secrets from someone who has been on the other side of interviews. The best part is this book leads to the rest of Ellyn's prep courses and personal guidance which have helped me leaps and bounds. If you're on the fence about shooting her an email, DON'T HESITATE!! She is a smart and kind woman who is willing to help you no matter what.

I have to say, I have purchased these books in the past. Typically the books on the how tos, by people who know nothing and just were given the opportunity to gain a computer and typed a book up, fail terribly for me. I was referred this book by a friend and I was so unexpectedly surprised when the read was not only easy but crafted by someone that knew so much on this subject. She was able to shed light on a topic I thought I didn't need any help on. The layout was organized and gave insight into things you would not think about before you walk into an interview and helped me tremendously. I got a position recently, I believe because of Enisman's book.
Thanks

I was so stressed out about my first job interview and I don't know what I would have done without reading this book! All of the steps of the interview process are clearly explained and It made me feel so much more comfortable and prepared. This book is a VERY easy read and has really great tips and advice!! The list of possible interview questions are so helpful and I was prepared with great answers because I had reviewed the questions before my interview. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interviewing for jobs! Thanks so much Ellyn!!
