"This video opens with an unrehearsed segment of a group of new graduates (not all young) convincingly discussing their concerns and fears about job hunting. The narrator briefly reviews tips for finding job openings and developing a strong résumé, then moves on to the interview process.
"The several dos-and-don't skits are then analyzed and critiqued, with the narrator reviewing their content and adding information. A bibliography of pertinent material is also added at the end of the tape.
"Qualitatively, the acting here is excellent, the advice is good and up-to-date, the pacing is lively, and the whole production is very professional. This is probably the best tape on the subject this reviewer has seen. Recommended for most libraries." (anonymous)

"Adult. After various individuals admit their fears about getting their first jobs, this practical program focuses on four objectives of the interview: making a favorable impression, having the interviewer define the ideal candidate, deciding if the applicant wants the job, and obtaining a second interview or offer.
"When a young man meets with a prospective employer, viewers watch him make a fair and then a better attempt at presenting himself; the latter is achieved with the benefit of his and the interviewer's comments. His jquestions about rewards for good performanc, on-the-job training, why the previous employee left, and his own ability to fill the slot are enlightening. This useful production also includes a helpful bibliography. . . ."
