Book Description

May 13, 2005 0072987766 978-0072987768 11
The most widely-used text for the interviewing course, Interviewing: Principles and Practices offers comprehensive coverage of a wide range of interviews, as well as the most thorough treatment of the basics of interviewing (including the complex interpersonal communication process, types and uses of questions, and the structuring of interviews from opening to closing). Relevant theory is carefully integrated as a foundation for the practical aspects of interviewing--for both the interviewer and the interviewee. The 11th edition continues to reflect the growing sophistication with which interviewing is being approached, the ever-expanding body of research on all types of interview settings, recent interpersonal communication theory, and the effect of equal opportunity laws on interviewing practices.

I bought this textbook with expedited shipping from seller "catnucum" on September 25th. Item was never shipped and seller never responded to any of my three emails asking about when the item would arrive. To further add to my frustration, Amazon makes you wait 3 days past the due date before filing a claim. Then they make it even more fun by making you wait for another 1 - 2 weeks to get a refund. A - Z guarantee? Yeah, right, whatever. Don't expect much help from Amazon if you get screwed over by a third party seller. They make it sound like, Oh yes, we will take care of you if you have any problems with a seller but then when it comes time to come through for a customer, they're like dealing with a government agency. Isn't it funny how they have no problem taking the money out instantly when you buy but when a refund is owed, be ready to wait and wait and wait . . . .
