We have the 12'X 36", which is almost the same size, and are extremely pleased with it. It is a lot of pool for the money!
The exterior white pipes are a sturdy metal that interlock with each other and slip through a very strong vinyl casing around the top of the heavy vinyl blue pool itself. Since we already had a level spot from previous pools, it took only an hour or so, for my children to assemble it themselves, with their 14 yr. old brother. As many people have stressed on other pool reviews, YOU MUST MUST have a level site and this can take lots of work, so don't expect to just open it and start assembling. Once the pool was filled with water, I was surprised by how much more solid it seemed than our previous Easy set and simple set pools had been. It's like there's some kind of dynamic balance between the metal frame and the heavy vinyl pool wall and all the water. My son insists it is superior to our old pools. An important note is that this pool is truly 12 feet across the top, unlike the easy and simple set ones that measure 12 feet on the bottom diameter but far less, closer to 9+ feet across the top, and this pool can be filled up to 90% of its sidewall height. Our old easy set pool was supposed to be filled only to 80%, so when you compare this pool with those kind, remember that this one has more usable swimming area and depth. This kind of pool can not be winterized and left up in climates where the winter temperatures drop below freezing, so keep that in mind. We live in the northeast of the US, so pools are useful at most from approximately Memorial Day to shortly after Labor Day, and we think that inexpensive above ground pools are economical. Also, we have found that the more expensive chemical testing kits, like the ones at Walmart for $12.97, that test for for at least five things, are a good investment, even for small pools. If you don't add stabilizer (cyanuric acid) and keep your ph steady, you will spend too much on chemicals overall. I wasted lots of chlorine over the years before I realized that. Small pools are economical but the chemical maintenance is more challenging than it might seem. I looked into Bacquacil (a non-chlorine sanitizing system, that is not as tricky to test and manage as a chlorine system) and was told by one pool dealer that it might clog up cartridge filters in small pools, but the website for Bacquacil says you can use it with this kind. We are going to try that. Also, our pool came with a well made ladder, noticeably better quality than our previous pool sets, and had a lightweight pool cover and a small pool skimmer and vacuum. These small vacuums work on whats called a "venturi" effect. Not as efficient as the kind in big pools. Just make sure that you put a big fresh container of water in front of the ladder and make the kids rinse off their feet before going in.

This pool is fantastic. I had two other wet set models but had problems with leveling and the sides crashing in when a few kids get rowdy. The metal frame is very strong and holds up well even if your ground has a slight slant. I found it very easy to put up (about an hour). The filter could be better but it does the trick. My son and I are in the pool daily and love it!

The size is a bit deceiving. The pool measures just over 14.5 feet, not 15 as advertised. Somewhere it's mentioned that water level is 42" so don't think that your getting 48". I knew about the water level but the diameter was a surprise. I ordered a 15' solar cover and wondered why it was too big. I got took the tape measure to the pool and found out why. These size issues don't really bother my but it should be noted more clearly on box.
Yes the ladder is flimsy but usable. I cut a couple of boards and put them at the top for a platform, it's a good place for the kids to sit and ladder is sturdier. I'm 280 lbs. and have not problem as long as I'm careful. One thing that did make me frown a bit was the pinhole leak that I discovered after filling the pool. Brand new and a leak? Ohhh well that's Chinese quality I guess. They include a repair kit that has some vinyl but NO Glue! I fixed it by taking a small amount of bathroom caulk and putting on the inside of the pool, this stopped the leak so I could work on the outside. I used JB Weld..lol to attach piece of the supplied vinyl to the outside. It's held up fine. Not the recommended fix, but it's what I had laying around and didn't have to run to the store to purchase glue. The pump is working fine, where I see others have had problems with the pumps wearing out. I actually put a valve in and run a separate hose off it for solar heating. I run the pump 6-10 hours a day. I purchased two additional filters but have yet to use them. I have been reusing the same filter that came with pool by spraying it off with the hose. It comes out nice and clean for me. As far as chemicals, I have spent $9 on bleach and $6 on borax in 2.5 months. I found out how to take care of the water here [...]. I then use this calculator to add bleach and raise my PH [...] It's worked like a charm, I actually keep the chlorine pretty low and the water is crystal clear with no algae. My well water is acidic so borax helps raise PH on that. The rain has lowered the PH too, so more borax helped there as well. As far as setup, it was pretty easy. I'm satisfied with pool. I paid $249 for the pool at Walmart so the price here is a bit high, I can see where free delivery and the lack of a Walmart could justify the additional price. 2115|R2MN2HDPO9ZDY4;2115|R2KC0KKEOLKHZP;2115|R2NWXFDIQDVWGZ;
