I purchased this to replace the Intex 12' x 36" one that we had for 2 summers. The bigger one ultimately blew out at the side seam, I believe from chlorine use. But I was impressed that it held up for 2 summers. The larger one we had would bow out and ultimately loose depth for this reason. This one holds its shape nicely.

I actually don't have small children. My teenage daughter and I use it to just lay on rafts and soak up sun. So there is not a lot of action roughing the sides or bottom as would be with children playing with toys. But with two 5 year old nephews around, I could see this lasting them 2 summers AT BEST. We have a tarp/pad under it to keep it from tearing or getting holes.

The 8'x 30" size fits one adult raft comfortably, two without free movement (the rafts won't spin, they hug the sides). I believe you could have 3 children under the age of 7 comfortably play in this pool. We use a little floating chlorine disk that we put 1/2 a chlorine tab in about every 3 weeks to keep it from getting slimy. We also cover it after every use with the Intex pool cover we bought at a local Big Lots for $8.

I've had a pool for years that I just took down and replaced it with this little pool which I love. It's easy to care for and easy to set up and although my kids are bigger and won't get in, I do....I get in and chill and it's stay's pretty lukewarm with my solar cover I bought on amazon. My other pool I took down was a pain and was starting to rust and was quite bigger but I wanted something to just sit in on really hot days and cool off. If you like your pool cooler then don't opt for a solar cover because it does make it feel more like a little hot tub, lol...!!! If you have little kids they will love it, real little ones may need a ladder to get in and out of. Anyway have fun with it and I do recommend this pool to anyone and everyone of all ages.

I've had several of these pools but NONE with soft plastic connectors on the pool.

This pool is great if your NOT using a pump & filter with it. The connectors on this pool are made of SOFT bendable plastic making it impossible to attach a pump hose without it falling off or leaking.

The soft plastic connector gives way when you try to tighten the clamp so it doesn't leak and then the hose just comes right off. I hope my review helps you when deciding to whether to purchase this pool.

Anyone who has a backyard should have one of these if you can't afford or do not want to install a real pool. We absolutely love this item. It allows us to really enjoy our backyard during those hot summer months where we would normally have no choice but to sit inside in the air conditioning. It's perfect for quick dips or using a float. It's a bit of a paion to clean, dry and store, so for 50 bucks, we actually throw the pool out at the end of each year (keeping the filter, of course) and buy a new one (minus the filter, but with the filter hook-ups).

I highly recommend this item to anyone who is contemplating it. Just make sure you get the one with the filter.

This is a good pool to cool down in during hot summer days. The pump (if you buy the whole package) is useless and I run a custom setup (1800 gph with solar heater) that I re-use year after year. The plastic in the inflatable top ring deteriorates in the sun after one summer so you need a new pool every year.

I purchased this for our very small patio 12' x 12'. It was easy to setup and I have had zero leaks. Its big enouigh for 2-4 adults or at a squeeze 2 of us on chair floaters. I had also purchased the Intex filter pump which also works well and keeps the water sparkling clean

I bought this for my just out of college, renting her first house daughter. She is living with 5 roommates in broiling hot DC. They were so tickled to set up the pool in their backyard. Grear price and prompt shipping!

This is a great pool. It's deep enough for adults to comfortably cool down and fits a few people without feeling too cramped. Inflatable pools are my favorite. They're easier to store when you take them down and don't have to worry about someone slipping and getting injured on hard sides.

Amazon's automatic "Frequently Bought Together" suggestion package suggests to buy the pool, a cover, and cartridges for the pump. Also one of the photos of the product shows the pump. Both of these together imply that somewhere along the way you get a pump. You do not.

So just dont forget to also add a pump to your order.
Otherwise its a little ghetto pool. It does what it is intended to, which is, hold water and a couple humans when the blazing sun and 114 degree heat is about ignite your skin. If you expect more than that, your an idiot. It's a $50'ish portable pool, don't expect it to be an inground lap pool.

Thank you Amazon and/or Antonline for finally adding "no pump" to description. Those two words were missing when I ordered and when I returned because pump wasn't included, spent weeks trying to get a reasonable credit.
