We just purchased our third intex pool in eight years and previous years we have used a heavy-duty tarp. This year I spent more money and bought this Intex ground cloth which claims to be "extra padded"... well, that's a joke! Thankfully, I only paid $18 for this disappointing ground cover. This is THE thinnest "tarp" I've ever seen. Next year, I will go back to the discount warehouse where I can buy a 16' heavy duty tarp for $8-$12. I would NOT waste my money on this Intext ground cloth.

This cover is too thin to really protect the pool from any debris or sharp parts on the ground. Small plant thorns easily penetrate it. The cover has mostly decorative value, but then you need to stake it in the corners to protect from wind.

It's true that the ground cloth really doesn't protect the pool but what it does protect is all the hard work spent getting the ground level. If you had to use sand to level the ground the cloth will protect the sand from hard rain and water from the pool. The last thing you want after several hours of laser-leveling and tamping sand is for it to erode and wash away. So, yes, while it's a bit too flimsy to protect the pool it at least protects the sand underneath the pool, especially when you've brought the pool inside, from eroding and washing away.

As for the product itself it's pretty flimsy. We've had the ground cover that came with our 16' pool for a couple of years now and it's completely deteriorated. Expect to replace it every two years if you live in the northeast and keep it out all year.

Works Great... And is very durable.. But the only thing i dislike about it is it should of came with ancor pins.. Or Ground stakes... Because if you have the 12ftx3fx3ft 3 in intex metal frame pool it leaves the 4 corners and sides vulnerable to the wind .... you have to weight them down all the way around to keep it from rolling in on its self....

We needed a new ground cloth for our Easy Set pool. I was originally going to buy it from Intex directly but their shipping was very high. I checked on Amazon and it was free shipping and cost less. We couldn't go wrong with that. It arrived and it is super easy yo set up and the kids are happy with their pool for the summer.

I have bought two pools from Intex.

As products go, they are ok. merely OK.

But what you should be aware of is if you need replacements parts, you are on your own.
The filter pump went out after 4 months use.
So I thought it would be easy to get a replacement part. Easy. Right?

No. Most retailers will not carry these parts.
You are at the mercy of Atex's very high prices if you order from them. Amazon lists them, if at all, at very high prices.
Please beware of the shortage of replacement parts, because like I said, you will be on your own.

I guess this product is great for the cost. I don't expect this ground cover to be reused next year. It is thin, but I believe it will work well for this summer's use as a ground cover under our small 12 Foot above the ground pool. So I give this a THREE STAR!

This pool was easy to set up, fill, and use. It lasted about six weeks before the inflatable ring started deflating. My husband checked it out and found it was not repairable. The leak was around the nozzle. Our four grandchildren and other family members used this during the worst heat wave in recent history, so I guess we got our money's worth. I am disappointed it deflated in early August as we have had many hot days sinch that it would have been nice to jump in the pool. We put it in the trash, so I am glad I decided not to buy the pool cover along with the pool.
OOPS!!! The Intex Pool Ground Cloth was purchased the same time I bought the pool. The cloth is great. Not problem whatsoever. Good price; outlasted the pool!!

purchased this to go under a 12' round pool and it was perfectly long. it is after all just a piece of tarp so wish it was a bit cheaper. it does help keep the ground (concrete) clear and 'organized' looking. did need to tape down and put bricks around the edges to keep it from lifting on the corners. but then it survived a level 1 hurricane so i guess it is good!

Way too big for a 10 foot round pool. Cheaply made. Difficult to tuck in the flapping corners after water is in the pool. Would not purchase next time.
