I bought this for a camping trip in yosemite. I cannot sleep on the ground and I wanted a mattress that wouldn't take up half a tent since we had 3 people in a tent. This mattress helped me get so much more sleep than the other guys in our tent. Also it was better at keeping me warm as opposed to sleeping on the cold ground. Best of all it was $100 cheaper than most camping air mattresses, which seems ridiculous to me to spend that much money on a camping mattress. The only caveat to this mattress is that the nozzle is not the most robust, it's just a typical pool inflatable nozzle that can pop open if the nozzle is wet. I just put some duct tape over it and it was fine. You'll also need a flatter piller to put on top of the inflatable pillow

took this little mat on 7 day hiking/canoing/camping trip to the boundary waters. my wife and i slept well on the mat. the only reason it didn't get a 5 star is the airvalve is like a pool float valve and inflation and deflation could be easier.

As I approach middle age I've become less and less enthusiastic about sleeping on the ground, so I purchased this mattress for a five night camping trip. It worked really well and comes recommended. Amazon has at times shown a product image of a bright yellow mattress. That photo is inaccurate, and makes it look like a cheap pool float. The mattress I received is actually a sand color vinyl on one side, and a dark blue fabric material on the other. It is made by Intex, and like their other products it features thick, high quality vinyl construction. I did not experience any leaks in five days using two mattresses. The construction is noticeably better that the cheap camping mattresses you'll find in big box stores, and I would be surprised if you experience leaks. A possible downside to the quality construction is an air mattress that may be heavier than you expect. This unit is probably not suitable for backpacking due to the weight, but for ordinary camping it works well. Someone commented that the valve is difficult to use with a pump. I agree that the valve could be better, but I was able to make it work with the Coghlan's bellows pump without major difficulties.
This mattress also has the advantage of being sized for one person. We had two of them in our tent, and I believe that two small mattresses is a better arrangement than one big mattress. (One mattress will tend to sag in the middle and cause both sleepers to roll toward each other. Two mattresses also allows you to inflate to your comfort level.) For what it's worth, I found the mattress to be more comfortable if you inflate it to only around 60% capacity. Less air makes it softer and less rigid, and it will better shape to your body. Sleeping on the ground is never like sleeping at home, but this product delivers a pretty high level of comfort for a very small investment.

good for the price but not really comfortable
