This product is displayed (picture only) and gives the buyer no information on thread pitch or diameter. It looks just like the older version of the product. However, the older version has a larger screw ring. The new product screw ring is about 1/8" smaller in diameter. Therefore, if you try to mate it with the older hose adapter, it does not work. Furthermore, with no information (or warning about this) you buy it... based on the picture... thinking that it will work.

It would have been very helpful to have the exact product number. I needed Intex Part No. 10747 - Plunger Valve for Models 635 and 633 Filter Pumps. This is it! Great price and quick delivery. Thanks!

This part has been hard to find for my above ground pool. Since I don't remove them through the winter they seem to last about 2 years, but overall I just consider this part of my startup process and cost for the summer.

Pool plunger worked like a charm. Makes it easier to change the cartridges in the filter pump now.

I'm so glad I can purchase extra parts for this pool. Would buy this product again.

Must remove durning the winter as I lost 1 of 2 in winter 2010-2011 (I'm in the middle of the state of VA.) Can't leave outside when pool is closed for the winter.

Great product but if I ever need another I won't hesitate to go to amazon to purchase another but I realized they sell the plunger separately ,just screw off the cap and replace the inner plunger handle and all withpout the maim boby being replaced.

Paid for quick delivery and received this plunger overnight only to find this newer plunger valve does not fit an older pool:( Fits the hose end just fine but the coupling/ring that attaches to the strainer is smaller on the newer plunger therefore not a fit. If you are going to purchase this plunger for an older pool, you will need to purchase a new strainer too to ensure a fit. Very frustrating!!

my pool was damaged during an ice storm and this item needed replaced. worked great for my pool.

This is a good product. However, I think Intex has a long way to go. Every year it seems like I have to replace these plungers because the "O" rings inside them wear out due to harsh weather conditions. Like everyone else Intex has decided to make you buy a new one rather than tell you how to replace the rings inside. To help keep them (the plungers) out of the weather there should be a cap that covers the holes where the plungers attach to the pool. Are there any? Not from Intex. Seems they have little support for their customers. Every time I deal with them they have a take it or leave it attitude. After asking if there's a product available and finding there is not, it'd be nice to hear one of their reps say "I'll pass that information along to our development staff". Won't happen! So, for those of you that would like a solution - I'm planning on taking the gray plastic ring that attaches the plunger to the pool and jury rig it by placing a piece of plastic inside it and use that to seal the opening for the plunger for the winter.
